The Intricacy of the Orient Star Avant-garde is a First for the Collection

Avant-garde is about having a strong sense of uniqueness and innovation. It means standing out from the crowd and being confident about what makes something one-of-a-kind. The Orient Star Avant-garde is all of this and more. With its two-piece, layered dial and bold skeleton design, this model is one that defies traditional conventions and sets its own path.

The dial is filled with function and allure. The upper dial is gear-shaped, creating a mechanical aesthetic while the lower dial shows off a distinctive honeycomb pattern. The small second register almost appears to spin with its pinwheel shape, fitting in easily with the outer gear look. The movement is visible through the open heart window at the 9:00 position, and the Orient Star logo is directly opposite. Having these features at each quarter hour creates a more balanced aesthetic for the dial, drawing the eye inward. The thinner case design offers superior comfort, and great care was taken to ensure that sleeves will easily slide over the watch without creating any awkward bunch-up looks.

The Orient Star Avant-garde isn’t just about looking exceptional – it’s about living it, too. The water resistance is 100m and the screw-down crown means no worries about the crown popping out during any underwater excursions. A sapphire crystal with AR coating tops the watch, and there are two durable band options, stainless steel or high-quality punched leather. Both band options have a deployant clasp with a push button to ensure the watch stays precisely where it’s meant to be, no matter the rugged adventures it’s subjected to. Stylish, sporty, and bold, the Orient Star Avant-garde refuses to fit into any one box. Whether you’re a dreamer, an artist, or even a renegade, this is for those who enjoy living life to the fullest and throwing conventions out the window.

There are two colorways that come with the stainless steel bracelet. The classic black dial has a cool balance of black and steel to emphasize the watch’s mechanical appeal. The silver dial option, on the other hand, is a streak design that gives the watch a sleek, metallic appearance. There are also two options available with the punched leather strap. The first has an all-black PVD case with a red aluminum ring inserted between the bezel and main body of the watch. Red accents on the dial and strap pop against the solid black coloring and create a high-quality aesthetic. The second option has a bronze-colored case with a black bezel and brown aluminum ring, giving off a tough yet vintage feel. Gold and bronze accents top off the dial and strap.
