The start of 2014 brings the newest addition to the Orient Sport collection – the Orient Conductor FFM01002W0. This stunning piece features all the bells and whistles you’ve come to love from Orient, and is priced to burn a hole in your wallet. And while the piece may seem more on the executive side, it possesses features that dress it down which makes for a very versatile watch.
The dial of the new Conductor model is of a pearl, metallic white that employs a sun ray effect. The result is a rich texture that gleams in the light. Part of the gleam is also due in part to the stainless steel hour indices. They’re brushed at top and polished around the sides. The picket fence hands are fully polished with lume applied from the middle all the way to the tip. The dial features luminescent material above each hour marker. The chapter ring is matte white in color with black text that counts the seconds. The FFM01002W features Orient’s signature power reserve and date subdial that are found at twelve o’clock and six o’clock, respectively. The power reserve hand is lumed as well. The dial is protected by a tough sapphire crystal.
The case of the Orient Conductor is 42mm wide. It is rated for 100m water resistance which is reinforced with a screwed down crown. The crown bears Orient’s logo. The case back exhibits Orient’s 46U40 in house caliber movement that is fully dressed. The solid stainless steel bracelet features a hexagonal, industrial looking bracelet that’s similar to the one found on the Orient Dignitary. To bring the piece around full circle, Orient chose to embellish the bracelet with polished metal accents that greatly complements the case.
Priced at $505, the Orient Conductor has all the features that you’re looking for in a sport watch. The versatility of the Conductor makes it a great option for work and play. Be sure to use code ‘winter2013’ at check out to save 30%, bring the price down to $354.
