There’s so much to say about the Orient Bambino, it’s difficult to know where to begin. This watch is a true reflection of the heritage of the Orient brand. It's been a fan favorite, but what makes it so great?
Let’s start with a checklist.
In-house mechanical movement? Check.
Classic styling? Check.
Quality materials and construction at an affordable price? Check.
The Bambino, available in 5 similar but unique styles, features the Orient cal. 48743, 21-jewel mechanical movement that’s equipped with approximately 40-hour power reserve and a date indicator at the 3.
What really stands out about this watch, and that can’t really be depicted in photos, is the use of domed crystal glass over the dial. This is a super classic touch that offers a vintage, Mad Men-esque feel.
The biggest thing separating the Bambino from its predecessors is a slightly larger case size. Bambino weighs in at 40.5mm (without the crown) with a case thickness of 11.8mm. So, compared to Orient’s sportier watches, Bambino offers a fairly slim, moderately-sized case. This, in addition to the watch’s adjustable leather band, make for a super comfortable fit on a range of wrist sizes, big and small.
If that’s the only bad thing we can say about this watch, then we’re doing pretty good.
Before signing off, there’s one more very important thing to note about Bambino. This watch has become exceptionally popular, and at only $260, it’s selling pretty quickly. Get yours today while you still can!
