"I've had the Orient Orange Mako for just under two months and I'm extremely happy with the performance." - Amazon.com Customer "The orange face color really pops out as well and adds a great stylistic touch to an already awesome watch." - Amazon.com Customer "The orange face color really pops out as well and adds a great stylistic touch to an already awesome watch." - Amazon.com Customer "What a fantastic watch for a little over $100. Ive had mine for about the same as the previous reviewer, and it is keeping fantastic time." - Amazon.com Customer "Hello, as a watch collector I just wanted to say a few words to you. I wear G-Shocks and auto divers. My auto divers consisted of Invicta's and I have been getting rid of them thankfully. Anyways, as I needed a nice looking watch that could be used for work or dress occasions, I decided to take up the Orient offer just before New Years and order a Mako after i discovered your new discount for first time orient customers. It arrived yesterday and I have been wearing it ever since. So far I love the accuracy and it appears to be very well made. In my opinion it is well worth the retail price and the discount off just made it a steal. Its a real winner and I look forward to selecting my next Orient!!!" Richard, Lexington, KY When I was a teenager my greatest influence was my cello teacher. Not only did he guide my music, he shaped me as a person. One piece of advise that is vivid in my memory is when he told me that every gentleman needs a fine watch. I have taken that advise to heart and have owned quite a few fine watches over the past ten years. My orange Mako CEM65001M arrived a couple of days ago and I am impressed. I have been through the rounds of the other dive watches at this price and have been dismayed by shoddy bracelets, wobbly bezels and questionable water resistance. So lets see how the Mako compares. First of all, this is a nice bracelet. It feels solid on the arm, has a nice weight and the push button deployment clasp is way better than expected. I would have expected to pay about the price of the watch for this bracelet alone. Next, the bezel. It is a 60 click that lines up precisely to the seconds makers. There is no wobble and it has a positive click. Again this feels like it should belong to a much more expensive watch. As for the water resistance, I have not taken it scuba diving yet, but I have had it snorkeling for 2 hours and it was great. I like the screw down date advancer and the 200 meter case. All very smooth. The arabic numbers give the watch a hint of formality, and in fact this watch looks as great with a tux as it does with jeans. The orange face is striking and sets it apart from the rest of my collection. The lume on this watch quite good; a real plus for me when playing in a pit. When you put all of this together with a very nice in house made movement, I love this watch. One more comment about the movement and automatic winding system. They are very quiet. I am used to hearing most of my automatic watch whir and tick away, but this Mako is almost silent. All of the other watches that I have tried around this price have one or two good points, but at least one damning flaw. Not the Mako. This is a fine watch that any gentleman would be proud to wear. It looks like I have found my watch maker. My next Orient will be the top of the line CFD0C001M 300m diver. Bravo Orient! - Jameson Platte, Belleville, NJ
